Draußen ist es winterlich kalt, wir heizen euch sommerlich ein. Zusammen mit dem Queeren Zentrum Mannheim zeigen die Mannheim Bears am 19. Februar um 19 Uhr den Film „Der Sommer mit Carmen“ (FSK 16). in den Räumen des QZM, G7 14. Der Eintritt ist frei, Spenden sind erwünscht.

Worum geht’s?
Für die queere Community Athens ist der Limanakia Beach ein sozialer und sexueller Hotspot. Hier treffen sich die Freunde Demos und Nikitas, beide Anfang 30 und angehende Filmemacher. Schauspieler Nikitas hat es satt, immer nur für die gleichen schwulen Rollen besetzt zu werden, und will endlich seine eigenen Erfahrungen auf der Leinwand sehen. Während die Männer um sie schwimmen und rummachen, pitcht Nikitas seinem Freund eine Filmidee. Es soll um die Ereignisse eines vergangenen Sommers gehen, um Demos emotionale Wiederbegegnung mit seinem Ex Panos und um Panos süßen Hund Carmen. (Quelle: Salzgeber Verleih)

It’s freezing cold outside, but we’ll warm you up with summery vibes. Together with the Queeres Zentrum Mannheim, the Mannheim Bears will show the film „The Summer with Carmen“ (FSK 16) on February 19th at 7 pm in the QZM’s premises, G7 14. Admission is free, donations are welcome. Note: this film will come in Greek with German subtitles.

What’s it about?
For Athens‘ queer community, Limanakia Beach is a social and sexual hotspot. Here, friends Demos and Nikitas, both in their early 30s and aspiring filmmakers, meet. Actor Nikitas is tired of always being cast in the same gay roles and finally wants to see his own experiences on screen. While the men around them swim and make out, Nikitas pitches his friend a film idea.
